My grandpa Reino’s sauna

My family enjoyed this sauna in the basement under the kitchen at grandma and grandpa's house south of Biwabik, Minnesota.

The tub on the right is an antique wringer washer machine.

Like a lot of Finlanders, grandpa made construction of the sauna a top priority when building this house. I'm told many would build the sauna first and build the house second.

Memories of this sauna come back whenever I hear the spring on a door ting-tang around the corner of a door frame.
