Canning wild plum jelly
This is our first year canning wild plum jelly. It was a little on the tart side, but spread on a piece of warm homemade bread, it is excellent. We used a Finnish juicer from my mother to make this neon jelly.

Building an open-shelf kitchen
We took out and re-purposed the (high-quality) closed wooden cabinets in our kitchen and replaced them with homemade metal brackets and white oak shelves.
